Personal Trainer Instructions Reebok Personal Trainer Functions Your Reebok
Personal Trainer Heart Rate Monitor has the following functions: Time- displays
hours, minutes, day, month & date. Heart Rate-
wirelessly sent from the chest transmitter to the monitor, and displayed
in large numbers as beats per minute. Scan- Scan
function with hands-free auto-scroll feature for current or previous
exercise session showing: Workout
session time in hours, minutes and seconds Highest
heart rate during workout Average
heart rate during workout Minimum

has one setting loop, which starts with the seconds, and automatically
advances to the next setting on a 4 second scroll. 1)
Press and hold the Start key for 2 seconds, then release. Seconds
will be flashing. 2)
Press and release the Start key to zero the seconds 3)
After 4 seconds, hours will flash.
Press and release the Start key to set the hour 4)
After 4 seconds, minutes will flash.
Press and release the Start key to set the minutes 5)
After 4 seconds, year will flash.
Press and release the Start key to set the year 6)
After 4 seconds, month will flash.

Time appears in the top of
the screen, and after a few seconds a flashing heart symbol and your heart
rate ·
To switch off heart rate,
Press and hold the Start key for 2 seconds then release. Time of day will
be displayed. Using the SCAN function. 1)
Current session Scan- With heart rate monitoring on, a press and
release of the Start key starts the scan function on an auto-scroll
through the session timer, maximum, average and minimum heart rate, with
each one shown for 3 seconds. ·
The first screen (TIMER)
shows the session’s time in hours, minutes and seconds.
This is the time from heart rate monitoring being switched on for
the current exercise session. The timer stops when heart rate monitoring is switched off. ·
The second screen shows the
maximum (highest) heart rate (MAX) since the current session began. ·
The third screen shows the
average heart rate (AVG) since the current session began ·
The fourth screen shows the
minimum (lowest) heart rate (MIN) since the current sessions began, after
began, after which the display returns to the main heart rate with time
screen ·
A press and release of the
Start Key during a SCAN sequence takes you to the Main screen and shows
current heart rate. A press and hold
of the Start key during a SCAN sequence, resets SCAN to zero. 2- Previous
Workout Session Scan- With time of day displayed a press and release of
the Start key starts a single scan through the four screens for the
previous exercise session. The
previous session information is stored in memory until heart rate is next
switched on. Automatic Switch Off Your Reebok
Personal Trainer has an in-built battery saving system, and heart rate
will be switched off automatically after two minutes if no regular heart
rate signal has been received and no keys have been pressed. Looking after your Reebok Personal Trainer Thoroughly wipe
and dry your Reebok Personal Trainer and transmitter after use, and store
in a cool dry place. Do not
expose to direct sunlight or temperatures above 122 degrees Fahrenheit
(50C) or below 14 degrees Fahrenheit (-10C). To replace the
transmitter battery: Undo the battery
hatch with a suitable coin and remove the old battery. Ensure that the
new battery is inserted into the hatch correctly with the plus sign facing
the battery hatch Check the rubber

Check that the elastic
strap is tight enough ·
Check that the electrodes
of the Reebok Softflex transmitter are moistened and that you are wearing
it as described. ·
Check that the transmitter
electrodes are clean Monitor displayed is faded or blank ·
Have the batteries checked Heart Rate reading is erratic (heart symbol flashes irregularly) ·
Check that the receiver is
within the 80cm maximum distance from the Soflflex transmitter ·
Check that the Softflex
transmitter elastic strap is tight enough ·
Check that the electrodes
are moistened Heart Rate is very high (above 200bpm) Your Reebok
Personal trainer is sensitive piece of equipment and may be temporarily
affected by strong electromagnetic and radio signals.
This may cause erratic and often elevated heart rate displays.
Common sources causing interference include televisions, computers,
and high voltage power lines. Check your surroundings and move away from the source of
interference.
